In the fourth season, Jonathan Garvey, an accomplished lumber man, came to Walnut Grove and became a close friend of Pa Ingalls.
Prior to beginning his acting career, Merlin played for fifteen years with the Los Angeles Rams achieving various records and establishing himself as one of the premier tackles in the game of football.
Merlin also appeared in the films, “Mitchell”, “Something Big”, and “The Undefeated”.
